DC Breastfeeding Coalition Committees

Welcome to the DCBFC! As a new member, we strongly encourage you to participate in one of our standing committees or work groups. Committee involvement is mandatory with the Gold Level Membership. Not only is committee membership a great way to network with other members, but it also allows you to have a direct impact in reaching DCBFC objectives!

Program Development

  • The Program Development committee guides planning and direction of key programs and activities of the organization, including advocacy and education activities. Committee tasks may include evaluation of those programs and services, as well as monitoring the board and the staff's interaction in program activities.

Website/Social Media

Membership/Public Relations

  • The Membership and Public Relations committee oversees the planning of a membership recruitment and development strategy. This includes identifying target audiences for new members, developing categories of membership, and recommending dues structures and benefits. This committee also presents the organization to the community and enhances the organization's image.

Finance/Fundraising
